These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which GB Cosey Homes (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides painting, roofing, remedial, gutter cleaning and insulation services to customers across the UK.

When you request a quote, book a visit or instruct us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.

1. Our Services

We provide:

• Painting and decorating
• Roof cleaning, sealing and colouring
• Remedial repairs
• Gutter cleaning
• Loft insulation

All work is carried out with care, skilled workmanship and respect for your home.

2. Quotes and Pricing

• Quotes are provided after assessing the job in person.
• Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• If additional issues are discovered once work begins, we explain them clearly and provide an updated quote before continuing.
• No work is carried out without your approval.

3. Booking and Appointments

• We agree a date and time that suits you.
• If we need to reschedule due to weather, safety concerns or unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you as soon as possible.
• If you need to change an appointment, please let us know with reasonable notice.

4. Access to Your Property

To complete the work safely and efficiently, you agree to provide:

• Safe access to the property
• Access to power and water if required
• Clear working areas

We treat your home with respect and work as cleanly and carefully as possible.

5. Payment Terms

• Payment terms are confirmed in writing before work begins.
• A deposit may be required for certain jobs or materials.
• The remaining balance is payable upon completion of the work unless agreed otherwise.
• Payments can be made by bank transfer or another agreed method.

6. Materials and Workmanship

• We use suitable materials for the job and complete all work to a professional standard.
• If specific materials or colours are requested, we will confirm availability before starting.
• All work is carried out with reasonable care, skill and attention.

7. Changes During the Job

If unexpected issues arise (e.g., hidden damp, damaged surfaces, structural concerns), we will:

• Explain the issue clearly
• Provide options where possible
• Give an updated price if additional work is required
• Only continue once we have your approval

This ensures transparency at every stage.

8. Guarantees and Limitations

• We guarantee our workmanship for a reasonable period, depending on the type of job.
• Natural wear, weather conditions or issues outside our control are not covered.
• We do not accept responsibility for pre-existing problems that cannot be seen until work begins (e.g., hidden rot, structural defects, underlying damp).

We always explain limitations clearly and honestly.

9. Health and Safety

We follow safe working practices and take appropriate precautions to protect you, your property and our team.

10. Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel a booking before work begins by giving reasonable notice.
• If materials have already been purchased or work has begun, costs may apply, which we will explain clearly.

11. Liability

We hold appropriate insurance for the services we provide.

We are not liable for:

• Issues caused by previous workmanship
• Structural problems unrelated to our work
• Damage caused by issues outside our control (e.g., storms, leaks, weather events)

We always work responsibly and communicate clearly if risks arise.

12. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service:

• Tell us as soon as possible
• We will investigate and resolve the issue fairly
• We aim to complete all work to a standard you feel comfortable with

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
